International Blue Crescent Relief and Development Foundation continues to support Syrian refugees within the Multisectoral Community Center Project, which has been in operation since 2015 implemented in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM). An interactive event was organized to draw attention to Women's Rights under the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign. 40 people from all ages participated in the event organized by Sultanbeyli Community Center.
The woman was informed about the place and rights of the woman in the society and a thematic drama was exhibited. Firstly, by the legal counseller of the Community Center, Ahlam Al Zuhairi presented the visually supported information on the women's rights to the beneficiary. Then, a set of theater groups consisting of children from the center beneficiaries under the supervision of instructors Khalil Rukiye and Hadia Attar in the center was established. A play related to violence was displayed on the women, and the problem was noted. At the end of the play, the enthusiastic applause of the audience left an impression that everyone was satisfied. Children were extremely happy not only to be a part of the art of theater but also to convey the message to a social problem.
Finally, carnation flowers were served to women for the meaning and importance of the day. Children and attendees were given various treats and the event ended.
