WORLD READING DAY EVENT AT IBC


The International Blue Crescent Relief and Development Foundation organized ‘Let’s Read Together’ event on September 8, World Reading Day.

Turkish Lecturer Esra Solak and English Lecturer Semra Aksoy informed the children about World Reading Day at the event which was held at Sultanbeyli Community Center. Later, the books and letters written by the beneficiaries of Kilis Community Center were shared with the children in the Sultanbeyli Community Center.

At the end of this event, which was quite fruitful and aimed to contribute to the development of children's imagination, children wrote letters from Sultanbeyli Community Center to be sent to Kilis Community Center. They sent books to their penpals as gifts.

In the event that supports social cohesion and encourages the children to read books although they are in different cities, English and Turkish reading books were also given to the children.

The happiness on their faces was worth to be seen.
