Within the scope of Social Cohasion Project, caravan, which served for 2 years in Sultanbeyli/Istanbul, now operates in Kilis by enhancing its psychosocial support works.
In the Mobile Caravan, which facilites with support of GIZ, SDC and the European Commission, contribution of Kilis Municipality and coordination of IBC, art activities such as painting, handicraft, drama and music are also practiced; in addition to daily activities such as empathy, self-care, environmental awareness and traffic rules for Turkish and Syrian children.
Psycho-social support activities are carried out by psychologists working in the foundation, and translation support in Arabic-Turkish and Turkish-Arabic languages are provided by translators working in the foundation.
In the caravan, individual interviews, family meetings, conscious parenting, safe motherhood, peer bullying, developing empathy, anger control, the needs of the target beneficiaries are determined and information sessions are planned to be held.
All activities, which are held within the scope of IBC Mobile Caravan, aims to raise awareness for multicultural life.
With game-based learning models; It is aimed to develop the skills of cooperation, empathy, sharing and cooperation and to contribute to the process of social cohesion.
It’s expected that the Mobile Caravan is going to operate till May 31st, 2020 during five days a week from 09.00 am to 05.00 pm among the regions where the need is.
