WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE LOCAL INITIATIVE FUND IN TURKEY (LIFT), BURSA, KONYA, AND ŞANLIURFA INFO HUBS CONTINUE THEIR SERVICES FOR PROVIDING PSYCHOSOCIAL AND LEGAL SUPPORT TO REFUGEES IN TURKEY

International Blue Crescent Relief and Development Foundation (IBC) has been supporting Syrian refugees and host community at the Info Hubs in Bursa, Konya, and Şanlıurfa, by providing them with a Psychosocial and  Legal  Support, under the project of  ‘Providing Information and Protection Assistance to Vulnerable Refugees in Turkey and Linking Them to Services’ in the scope of the Local Initiative Fund in Turkey (LIFT) since 2019. LIFT is implemented as a part of the Community Centres and Local Initiatives Project (CLIP), co-financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union through its Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

In addition to the Legal & Psychosocial support being provided at the Info Hubs, beneficiaries benefit from referral services, which is facilitating their access primarily to public services. Furthermore, within the scope of Case Management and Individual Protection Assistance services, beneficiaries are provided with information and support to access to education, health services, and legal rights, such as temporary protection identification, family reunification, birth registration, marriage, divorce, and travel permits.

Since the start of this project in 2019, IBC’s Info Hubs in Bursa , Konya and Urfa could provide services to more than 2900 beneficiaries and they still operate to implement preventive and protective measures in compliance with COVID-19 regulations.  Due to the current measures, services in the hubs are based on appointment and beneficiaries are requested to call Info hubs to ensure the availability.
