IN SOLIDARITY WITH UIGHURS-FOOD HEALTH-LEGAL AND PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT AT ITS SEVENTH MONTH


IBC-International Blue Crescent is one of the few NGO s supporting Uighur refugees who fled for safety to Turkey from the Chinese annihilation campaign.

Since the beginning of the Year 2021, 500 Uighur families in desperate nutrition need got monthly food packages and they survşved in Zeytinburnu and Kucukcekmece İstanbul.

Now with the support of partner international NGO, the number of recipients for food parcels increased to 1000..500 Uighur families living in Kayseri included to the beneficiaries.

In addition to the food campaign every month, 75 Uighurs get health support. We do provide them health checks in of the most prominent hospitals of Istanbul and treat the basic cases. For those with heavy illnesses, we do have efforts to tackle their treatment

In the Uighur center hosted by Isa Yusuf Alptekin Foundation, we do provide legal assistance to hundreds of Uighurs as well as psychosocial support. They mainly facing troubles with their registration, deportation, legal representation issues. In the psychosocial field, their main problems are facing are gender violence, poverty, and protection

By the beginning of June Uighur and Turkish language training(two relative languages and English training for groups of 20 students started. The training continues until the end of the year.
