INTERNATIONAL BLUE CRESCENT IN SOLIDARITY WITH SUFFERING YEMENIS IDP


1400 food packages distributed, 8 water wells constructed, one solar water well under construction

 

Since 2018 IBC-International Blue Crescent in solidarity with IDRF Canada and other donors intensified its efforts to alleviate the suffering of tens of thousands Yemenis in Aden, Abyan, Lahj and Mukalla.

Nutrition gap and malnutrition threat is one of the basic problems Yemeni IDS fled from war zone to safe areas to South.

In this framework, IBC provided food on monthly basis to tens of thousands Yemenis since November 2018 and continues to support them to overcıome the famine threat that they and their children are facing.

Recently, 1400 monthly food parcels are distributed in Aden and Abyan to poor families without any means to survive their nutrition needs

Food parcels contain 20 kg of flour, 20 kg rice, 10 kg sugar, 3 lt edible oil, 1 kg biscuits and 8 canes of 500 grams of beans.

On the other hand six water wells are contructed in Al Barah, Al Jazeela, Al Soom, Al Ayoun, Shabow, Yamood Khareh are completed and around 25000 people including the locals will have Access to clean water.

Solar Water well construction in Shiher,and water wells construction in Saha and Al Mahra continues.

In addition 13 water wells are planned to be completed in July 2021
