INTERNATIONAL BLUE CRESCENT RELIEF AND DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION (IBC) ON THE BOARD OF THE REFUGEE COUNCIL OF TURKEY (TMK)


The 2nd Ordinary General Assembly meeting of the Refugee Council of Turkey (TMK), which operates to protect the rights of refugees and host communities in Turkey and to develop policies and programs for this purpose, was held in Ankara on 26 August 2021. The meeting brought together more than 20 non-governmental organizations.

Following the election of the Council Committee at the meeting, the 2018-2021 Annual Report, Audit Committee Reports and Standard Operation Procedures were submitted for the approval of the members. At the meeting, where the works to be carried out by the TMK in the new period were also evaluated, elections were held for the full and alternate members of the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board.

After the election, the International Blue Crescent Foundation was re-elected to the new Board of Directors of the Refugee Council of Turkey, of which it is co-founder with IGAM and OXFAM. .

Turkish Refugee Council (TMK); while bringing together non-governmental organizations working especially on refugees in line with common strategies and objectives; It aims to establish an effective network in order to ensure the active participation of NGOs in determining policies on forced migration at local, national and international levels and making decisions accordingly.
