IBC SPREADED HOPE IN MOROCCO

The 6.8 magnitude earthquake in Morocco on September 8 caused many people's lives to change in one day. This earthquake which resulted thousands of people to be injured and even lost their lives, also started a brutal struggle for life for the same number of people.

While more than 2 thousand lives ended after this severe natural disaster, More than 6 thousand people were injured. The earthquake caused houses, workplaces, and historical buildings to collapse or suffer significant damage, causing many people to become homeless in the upcoming winter.

Afella Nofra and Amizmiz are just a few of the villages that were destroyed…

IBC  quickly identified basic humanitarian needs by assigning teams to the field from the first moment. The massive destruction of rural areas, in particular, has made these and many other basic needs, especially winter supplies and shelter, a priority.

With years of experience and profound knowledge, IBC has effectively coordinated its relief with donors, partners, authorities, and local organizations. With the generous support of IDRF Canada, Action Medeor, Corus, Zaimah, Penny Appeal, Al Amal Benevoles Association, Islamic Help UK, and Good Neighbors, it continues to provide relief to disaster victims, from diapers to food packages, from hygiene kits to shelters.
