EID JOY IN NORTHERN SYRIA…

Continuing to uphold the spirit of unity, solidarity, and cooperation of Eid al-Fitr this year, as in previous years, the International Blue Crescent Foundation (IBC) brought smiles to the faces of families in need in Northern Syria.

IBC has been actively operating in the region since the first day of the earthquakes that occurred in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, causing great damage to the surrounding provinces as well as Northern Syria. IBC continues its relief projects with great devotion and meticulousness under different headings such as mobile clinics, clinics, physiotherapy and MHPSS projects, housing and water wells for the communities that were subjected to migration due to the earthquake in Northern Syria.

Aware that sharing, being remembered, and being together increase happiness during this feastl, as during every feastl, IBC distributed food packages to over 500 families in need at the Kara Köprü Camp in the Azez Region, in cooperation with IDRF Canada, just before the eid. The Foundation does not hesitate to lend a helping hand to the region during the month of Ramadan; it gave hope to families. On this occasion, it brought the joy of Eid to households early.

IBC’s support to the region was not limited to distribution during Ramadan. Not forgetting the families in need who are struggling with the cold due to the weather not being warm enough yet, the Foundation also distributed foam mattresses and blankets to more than 4 thousand people within the scope of its joint work with Doctors Without Borders (MSF).

IBC, together with Doctors Without Borders, is helping people in need in Northern Syria…

IBC will continue to lend a helping hand to those in need with great care, for a world where no one has to think about how they will spend the next day due to the difficult conditions they find themselves in.
