INTERNATIONAL BLUE CRESCENT (IBC) PLAYS ACTIVE ROLE AT THE PREPARATIONS OF WORLD HUMANITARIAN SUMMIT IN ISTANBUL


International Blue Crescent (IBC) plays active role fort he preparation of World Humanitarian Summit which will be held next year in Istanbul.

 

In this framewrok,regional coordination meeting organised by OCHA in Istanbul where International Blue Crescent in cooperation with other sponsoring NGO s submitted its policies and ideas to the platform.

 

At the coordination meeting held on June 11 th 2015 ,56 representatives of different NGO s and UN organisations as well as EU representatives participated.

 

In the meeting main topics that discusse ın the World Humanitarian Summit South and Regional Consultation Meeting in Dusanbe Tajikistan,are dientified and developed.

During the coordination meeting the following topics discussed and relevant papers submitted:

1.Responding to needs of people in conflict areas
2.Risk Mitigation and Localising
3.Providing tools and capacity to Affected communities
4.New response models to long term crises
5.Modifying future humanitarian response models and finance

On the other hand IBC Project coordinator Tolga Baca and Omer Kaya participated to the World Humanitarian Summit preparatory meeting in Geneva.

In this framework IBC delegation had a meeting with WHS coordinator Djamila Mahmud and discussed future cooperation for having an worldwide NGO meeting in Istanbul before the submit where the civil society will be enabled to submit his opinion to the worl public opinion
