CHOCOLATE JOY FOR CHILDREN FROM SYRIA

Children are the most innocent victims of war…

The fear in their hearts and the dreadful violence they faced are reflected in the meaningless expression of their eyes…

They have lost their mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters, relatives and friends in the civil war lasting for almost 2 years.

They found shelter in the neighboring state, running from the bombs blasting at sudden time in sudden places in Syria and stray bullets just to save their lives.

Now they can sleep without fear. The noise of the blasting bombs and weapons died away..The bloodstained streets disappeared from their dreams…They survive with the hot tureen of soup, the secure tents there are living in became their homes…and they continue their education..

The most considerable NGOs of Turkey mobilized to return the hope to the empty looks and to heal the little souls of the Syrian children.

The only goal is to make their face smile and to make them forget their pain even for a while.

Exactly for this purpose the International Blue Crescent Foundation rejoices the big hearted Syrian children with chocolate. The 227 packages sent by the Food Banks Association to the IBC, were distributed among 1350 children studying at the Culture and Coordination Center, allocated by the Kilis Municipality for Syrian refugees.

The fear and troubles in the eyes of the children, exposed to war, were replaced by joy and happiness while chocolate distribution. The field coordinator of IBC (International Blue Crescent Foundation)  Aziz Civelek himself distributed chocolate to the refugee children.

The activities of IBC are not limited to this.  Approximately for 3 months the field coordinators of the IBC (International Blue Crescent Foundation)   are carrying out different activities in the area for the Syrian children.  During January 2013, boots and coats were distributed to the 600 children of 12 age groups studying at the Kilis Culture and Coordination Center and to 2000 children in Kilis in general.

During 2012-2013 academic year, the remuneration, stationery, and fuel costs of the 50 teachers serving at the Kilis Culture and Coordination center will be met by the IBC (International Blue Crescent Foundation).

IBC is planning to carry out another project aimed to help the refugee Syrian children in the future.

The project being developed is planned to be carried out by construction of tents in 3 areas most populated by the Syrian refugees. In these tents the Syrian animators will conduct different activities with children in order to help them to get out of the fear of war.

The aim of these activities is to breathe new life to the dreams of the Syrian children about future because they deserve happiness...
