INTERNATIONAL BLUE CRESCENT RESPOND TO NEED OF IDP'S IN SYRIA


International Blue Crescent  is responding to the needs of the IDP fled from conflict areas to Damascus and Aleppo.

More than 126000 IDP s from Homs and Hama areas fled to outskirts of Damascus and Aleppo during the last months.

They are in desperate need of food and household materials.International Blue Crescent Office in Damascus in cooperation with SARC is planning the distribution of food and Non-food  items to around 1000 families in Damascus and Aleppo.

Food vouchers will be distributed to IDP s .In addition health assistance will be provided to thousands of IDP as provision of basic health and strenghtening the capacity of health institutions.

IBC was UNHCR national implementing partner  in Syria and implemented several rehabilitation and emergency projects funded by UN.

On the other hand ,International Blue Crescent continues its support to Syrian refugees fled to Turkey.In coordination with the Turkish authorities blankets pillows beds and other household materials will be provided to camps across  the border

IBC has provided food and hygiene materials in several camps in Hatay province since the beginning of refugee flow from March 2011.
