International Blue Crescent continues relief campaign focusing on the basic needs of the children in Van primarily.
Distribution of heaters – stoves to earthquake victim families in Ermisler and neighbouring seven villages is completed. Earthquake victims now have means for heating and cooking with wood or animal extraction, common in the region.
Winter clothes and boots distribution according to the sizes of the children continues. Daily food packages for the school children in Ermisler and negihbouring villages(615 children in total) started.
Milk,high calories biscuits ,sandwiches included to the food packages.
In addition a truck of chocolates and biscuits is send to the Red Crescent camps for diStribution to small children in Van.
Nestle donated the chocolates and biscuits through World Food banking Association to IBC.
IBC will continue the food packages distribution to the children of Ermisler for two months.
Distribution of monthly hygiene packages for 1000 families will end in February 2012.
IBC is planning support for regenerating the livestock capacity of the villages through provision of animal food and contruction of animal shelters.
