International Blue Crescent (IBC) and Ministry of National Education of Turkey have signed the cooperation and partnership fort he Training and Education of Syrian refugees protocol in Ankara.
The protocol is for two years and covers Turkish lessons and vocational training as well as integration activities of Syrian refugees fled to Turkey from the çivil war in their Country.
On behalf of IBC,President Recep Uker,Vice President Muzaffer Baca,Project Manager Tolga Baca and Field Project coordinator Omer Kaya participated top the ceremony held in MONE Continous Education General Directorate in Ankara.
MONE Continous Education General Director Mr Mehmet nezir Gül signed the protocol on behalf of the Ministry
Both sides agreed to look for ways to extend this partnership to more provinces and sectoral areas depending on the article 17 of the protocol and in consensus.
The protocol will be in effect in Istanbul,Konya,Gaziantep,Şanlıurfa and Kilis provinces where IBC runs 12 community centers,scores of Child Friendly Spaces .Tens of thousands of Syrian children between 5-12 years old get Turkish lessons and involved to integration activities and adults between 15-18 years old have Access to vocational training mainly gender based and Turkish classes.
