International Blue Crescent Relief and Development Foundation “Child Caravan” and “Multi-Sectoral Community Center” in Sultanbeyli organized a sports festival for April 23rd, National Sovereignty and Children's Day. The Festival was attended by 34 children between the ages of 6 and 12 and took place at Sultanbeyli Gölet Social Facility of the Metropolitan Municipality on April 27th.
During the event children played games such as racing, tug of war, burlap bag race and egg-and-spoon race as well as games of getting-to-know-each-other that allowed for the formation of team mentality. The games aimed to increase gross and fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination as well as physical, cognitive, social, emotional and linguistic development. April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day event was organized in the form of a sports festival to give the participating children the opportunity to play sports.
In addition, all children participating in the event were given "Well done" pins, had their faces painted, and received balloons at the end of the activity.
