International Blue Crescent Relief and Development Foundation organized for the fifth time in this “Historical Adventure” event for the Fatih Anadolu Girls Imam Hatip High School students whom participated in Conflict Management Training Course has been implemented by IBC for 18-week perpetually were carried out. 42 students (23 Turkish citizens - 19 Syrians) participated in the event and first destination was Topkapı Palace. Holy relics, period weapons and kitchen section visited by students who walk in the guided tour receive both information on common history and realize that common heritage is in fact one of the most important elements that unite the two communities. It was observed that the information of the students who deepened their knowledge with the historical narrations of the staff guide was also increased.
After visiting Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern passed by and it was observed that the beneficiaries were highly influenced by this structure when visiting the Cistern which is a very magnificent structure. After visiting the cistern for about half an hour, restaurant was the next direction to have lunch. Beneficiaries observed to talk about how the day passed during the meal, and were left to their schools afterwards. On the way back, the participants noted that they learned by visiting, sharing and seeing the common history.
As a result, it has been observed that it contributes to the development of life in harmony with the trip and strengthening solidarity. At the end, participating students thanked the Blue Crescent Foundation and its supporters for repeating similar trips and activities.
