IBC continues its emergency operations in Somalia. In the framework of the campaign to construct 100 water wells in Kismayo Somalia we managed to complete 18 of the shallow wells and eight of deep wells operating with solar energy. Shallow wells have been consructed at in the villages Karrin, Jahurka, Garijow, İnjineer, Kowsar, Hukun, Sacid, Xaji, Rabi, Boardin, Xeebta, Nomadid, Maxamed Nur, Beerta, Maxamed Cali, Buraale, Bisharo,Yoonotoy where more than 20000 people live.
Deep wells operated through solar energy are constructed in schools in Kismayo where more than 4000 children get education.
People live around the schools are benefiting from the Project too.
IBC-International Blue Crescent is operating on emergency projects since the catastrophic drought of 2011. We implemented scores of emergency food and health Projects in Mogadishu, Low Shabelle and Bay and Bakool.
IBC is developing a new İntergrated Response to the needs of the Somalian people in Mogadishu and Kismayo region for the year of 2019.
