Within the scope of Blue Crescent Foundation Social Cohesion Program, inclusive and supportive trainings in schools continue to be carried out. International Blue Crescent Foundation and Sultanbeyli District Directorate of National Education made a protocol for Social Cohesion Training Program for Turkish citizens and Syrian students at Anafartalar Middle School. Together with the training, inter-student communication and interaction within the school were increased and disadvantaged groups strengthened, and thus increased their school success.
The trainings were designed according to the interest of the age group by using participatory and reflective learning tools. The Forum theater, creative drama and group discussion were conducted to provide an effective learning environment in different themes. The themes of the trainings implemented were composed of living together, conflict resolution and harmony of diversity.
As a result of the trainings, it was observed that the communication between the groups increased with the feedback received from the students, as such the tolerance to the differences increased. In addition, the participants of the program received participation certificates.
