I started to in civil society career as a volunteer during my undergraduate years and now I continue at International Blue Crescent (IBC) Relief and Development Foundation that works in the disadvantaged regions of both in Turkey and in the World.
The Syrian Crisis that we left behind for 8 years and which affect Turkey most, data of the Immigration Authority in Turkey demonstrates that there are more than 3,5 million Syrians who live under temporary protection as of 2019. Istanbul is the city that hosts the Syrians most, and the Sultanbeyli district is one of the most inhabited areas in the Asian side.
In 2016, I joined the ında Sultanbeyli Community Center ’project, which was initiated by the International Blue Crescent Foundation in partnership with the UN International Organization for Migration, in the year 2015. The project consists of units from which people from all walks of life can get service. It aims to alleviate the negative impacts of forced migration caused by the Syrian crisis, to increase the level of education by means of non-formal education opportunities, and also to solve the problems experienced in accessing rights and to eliminate the general lack of information.
My most important source of motivation since the first day that I started work for International Blue Crescent (IBC) is that to extend a helping hand to all people without discriminating in a fair, respectful, cooperative work environment and to see that our work can create miracles in people's lives,
