The Children's Caravan Project, which was run in collaboration with the International Blue Crescent Foundation and Penny Appeal, is in service in Sultanbeyli since September 2017. In the Project, workshops and excursions are organized with interactive learning methods in certain days and weeks such as out-of-school education, child rights based workshops, hand-work workshops to support the development of motor skills, school support courses, sports activities for Syrian and Turkish children between the ages of 4 and 12. In the caravan where 3 trainers work, the works are done in two languages, Arabic and Turkish.
Activities in March:
In March activities were held in children caravan such as Creative Readings Workshop, Cinema Workshop (Arabic-Turkish), Creative Drama Workshop, Certain Days and Weeks Workshop, Sign Language Workshop, Handicraft Workshop. In order to create awareness and develop solutions to needs, some activities were held in certain days and weeks in March such as workshops for Earthquake Week, Green Week, Science and Technology Week, Acceptance of National Anthem, Çanakkale Victory, Old Age Respect Week, Forest Week, World Water Day and within the scope of the Respect for the Elderly Week, a visit to a nursing home was carried out in order to strengthen the communication of the children with the elderly and to protect the bonds between the generations.
