EVENT OF POLLUTION PREVENTION WEEK AT IBC


On June 12th, the International Blue Crescent in collaboration with Directory of Environment and Forestry facilitated a drawing and  poetry competition to promote Environment protection and love of trees. A ceremony to hand out prizes for the winning children was organized at both Hacı Mehmet Elementary School and Zeytçioğlu Elementary School.

Kilis Governor Mr. Recep Soytürk, Governor Assistant Mr. Mehmet Aktaş and Provincial National Education Directory Manager Mr. Mehmet Emin Akkurt were attended the ceremony.

The drawing competition, which was titled “ Benefits of forests and love of trees” targeted primary school students and junior high school students aiming at bringing up a generation that is aware of environmental issues and respects nature. In addition a drawing competition for high school students dubbed “ Be the sound of forest” was facilitated.

Winners were awarded with bicycles.
