Muzaffer Baca, Vice President of the International Blue Crescent Foundation, who was on the board of the International Volunteer Organizations Association (ICVA) between 2005 and 2008, applied on behalf of our foundation to represent ICVA at the Inter-Agency Humanitarian Assessment Steering Group (IAHE-SG). The IAHE is an independent assessment of the results of the collective humanitarian response by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) Member Organizations to a particular crisis or theme, and follows agreed norms and standards that emphasize the independence of the assessment team, the specific process and methodology, and the usefulness and transparency of the findings and recommendations. In this important role, ICVA called for an election process among the candidate NGOs representing 2 years. Muzaffer Baca nominated on behalf of IBC.
